Types of Lung Cancer
Lung cancer which is one of the most common cancers nowadays is a leading cause of deaths in human from cancer. Both men and women have equal chances of getting diagnosed with this cancer. Non Small Cell Lung CancerNow, this is the most common cancer which covers about 85% of all lung cancer cases. According to the type of a tumor, it has 3 subcategories.
Adenocarcinomas - This is a frequent type of lung cancer in the USA. Unlike other lung cancers, Adenocarcinomas is possible in both smokers and non-smokers. The abnormal cells in this cancer have to tend to grow till lymph node or beyond.
Squamous cell carcinomas - This cancer is also known as Also known as epidermis carcinomas. In this type, cancer-causing cells grow in the central chest area in the bronchi.
Large cell carcinomas - this is the least common type in nsclc responsible for only 10%-12% cases. This cancer is seen to spread to lymph nodes and distant sites.
